The Supervisory Board of Royal Wessanen proposes to appoint Ronald Merckx as
CFO and member of the Executive Board for a period of four years, commencing on
1 June 2011. The proposed appointment is the consequence of the resignation of
Frans Eelkman Rooda (CFO) from the Company as per the end of May, as announced
on 3 December 2010.
The Supervisory Board believes that Mr Merckx is a very suitable candidate for
the position of CFO of Wessanen, given his broad financial experience covering
all areas of the financial function.
At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on 19 April 2011, approval
will be asked for his appointment.
Ronald Merckx (1967) has the Dutch nationality. He currently is active in the
UK as CFO Europe for Britax Childcare, a producer of childcare safety products.
After graduating Business Economics at the University of Tilburg, he started
his career at Unilever, where he held several financial positions in the field
of internal audit, controlling, investor relations and financial management. At
Unilever he worked both in the Netherlands and in several European countries,
