Royal Wessanen nv today announced that it will nominate Mrs. M.C. Lombard as
new member of its Supervisory Board at the next Annual General Meeting of
Shareholders to be held on April 20, 2006.
Marie-Christine Lombard is member of the Board of Management of TNT and Group
Managing Director of TNT Express, a division of TNT N.V.. Prior to this Mrs.
Lombard held various international general management, marketing and financial
positions in the banking and transport sectors (e.g. Paribas and Jet Services).
Durk Jager, president of Wessanen’s Supervisory Board, said: “We are very
pleased to welcome Mrs. Lombard to our Board. She is known for being a
charismatic and effective leader and has an impressive track record in a
variety of top functions within well-established corporations.”

Career summary Marie-Christine Lombard
Marie-Christine Lombard, who is holding a MBA from the prestigious French
business school ESSEC, joined the Express industry in 1993, when she was
appointed Chief Financial Officer for Jet Services in France. From 1997 on she
led Jet Services as Managing Director, until the acquisition of the company by
TNT Express in 1999. She then became Chairman and Managing Director of TNT
Express France and turned it into one of the company's most successful business
units before becoming Group Managing Director in 2004. Prior to joining the
Express industry, Marie-Christine Lombard spent some time in the American
retail business and subsequently developed wide ranging international business
experience during a decade in the banking industry, with Chemical Bank and
Paribas Bank. Based respectively in New York, Paris and Lyon, she covered areas
such as Major Multinational Accounts, Corporate Finance and Mergers &
Acquisitions. Marie-Christine Lombard was born and raised in Paris. She is the
mother of two children.
