Royal Wessanen nv today announced that at the next Annual General Meeting of
Shareholders to be held on April 27, 2005 , it will propose to appoint two new
members to its Supervisory Board.
Proposed new Chairman of the Supervisory Board will be Mr. D.I. (Durk) Jager,
retired Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Procter
& Gamble. He will replace Mr. K.J. Storm, member of the Supervisory Board since
1996 and Chairman since 2002.
Proposed new member of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit
Committee will be Mr. L.M. (Theo) de Kool, Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial & Administrative Officer of Sara Lee Corporation. He will replace Mr.
J.A.N. van Dijk, Member of the Supervisory Board since 1997 and Chairman of the
Audit Committee since 2002.
Both Durk Jager and Theo de Kool represent a wealth of experience in the field
of general, marketing and financial management of FMCG multinationals.
Other members of the Supervisory Board are Mr F.H.J. Koffrie and Prof. J.G.A.J.
Wessanen is indebted to Kees Storm and Jacques van Dijk for their strong
leadership in steering Wessanen through turbulent times. Thanks to their
contribution, the company now is back on track and ready for the next phase in
realizing its strategic and financial goals.

D.I. (Durk) Jager (1943)
Mr. Jager held various management positions at Procter & Gamble in Europe ,
Asia and the United States . He was Chairman of the Board, President and Chief
Executive Officer from January 1995 through June 2000. He currently is an
independent consultant and private investor. Mr. Jager also serves on the
Boards of Eastman Kodak Inc., Chiquita Brands International Inc., Polycom, Inc.
L.M. (Theo) de Kool (1954)
Mr. De Kool held various management positions in Sara Lee, mainly in the field
of finance. He is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial & Administrative
Officer at Sara Lee Corporation since 2002.
