Royal Wessanen nv has been listed on the NYSE Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange since September 1959. The capital structure consists of one class of stocks, i.e. voting shares with a nominal value of EUR 1.00 per share. The shares are included, amongst other indices, in the AScX and Next 150 indices.
As a result of the issue of shares following the 2010 stock dividend, the number of shares per 16 May 2010 is 76,992,275. All shares outstanding have equal rights and can be traded freely without any restriction. In addition, Wessanen share options are traded on the NYSE Euronext Amsterdam derivative exchange.
When was Wessanen's initial public offering?
Wessanen entered the public capital market by listing the company at the Amsterdam Stock Exchange on 27 September 1959. The issuing bank was Amsterdamsche Bank, the predecessor of ABN AMRO. The goal of the issue of new shares in the public capital market was to enlarge the liquid assets.
