Wessanen has four segments, Grocery, HFS (Health Food Stores), IZICO and ABC.
In Grocery and HFS (branded and wholesale), we are a leading player in organic and natural foods in the supermarket channel in France, the Benelux and the UK and to a lesser extent in Germany and Italy. Within the health food store (HFS) channel we are a leading player in the Benelux, France and Germany. In addition, brands such as Clipper, Tartex and Whole Earth are exported to numerous other markets.
Our branded activities involve the sourcing, development, marketing and selling of our own brands. Our pioneering brands include Bjorg, Zonnatura, Clipper, Whole Earth, Alter Eco, Kallo, Bonneterre, De Rit, Allos and Tartex.
Next to our branded HFS operations, we own wholesale activities in France and the Netherlands selling mainly ambient and to a lesser extent fresh products, and operate the Dutch health food franchise chain Natuurwinkel.
IZICO manufactures and markets a wide variety of branded (Beckers, Bicky) and private label frozen convenience food products, ranging from the traditional Dutch 'frikandel' to spring rolls. These products are available at supermarkets and in the out-of-home channel in the Netherlands and Belgium and via export.
ABC is one of the leading producers of non-carbonated bottled fruit drinks and cocktail mixers in North America. The company manufactures and markets leading brands of juice drinks (Little Hug) and cocktail mixers (Daily's) within both the on- and off-premise channels.
